Automated Test System Engineer I - Depew, NY

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Uses computer education and background knowledge to complete various projects, products, and tasks related to computer hardware and software. Assists the Transducer Calibration department and other departments, in creating code, modifying existing programs, understanding communication formats and maintaining existing hardware and software. Works with Calibration Technicians and other departments to design new computer programs and systems for business, production, testing, automation and scientific applications. Writes programs to generate calibration data, configure products, automate testing and calibrate equipment according to defined user specifications. Develops, encodes, tests, debugs, installs and maintains software, hardware and systems. Develops and publishes user and maintenance documentation for programs and systems that have been generated. Assists purchasing by researching hardware and software with regard to compatibility, feasibility, problem solving and general usefulness. Performs other related duties as required. Minimum Associates degree or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred, not required. Knowledge of PCs, printers, cabling, programming languages, operating systems, Novell network, and software help. Familiarity with LabView software and National Instruments data acquisition a plus.
