High-Temperature Accelerometers for Aircraft Engine Vibration Studies |
|
PCB Piezotronics, Inc., has introduced a new line of high
temperature piezoelectric charge output accelerometers for vibration studies on aircraft engines, and other high temperature
measurement environments. These high temperature sensors are designed for stable sensitivities of 4 pC/g in temperature ranges of -65 to +900º F (-54 to +482º C). Their piezoceramic sensing element is housed in a rugged, all-welded, hermetically sealed Inconel® housing. Accelerometers connect to laboratory-style charge amplifiers or in-line charge converters, which condition the output signal for recording or analysis. They feature a measurement range of ±500 g, 3,000 g shock limit and a 10-32 coaxial electrical connector. PCB® manufactures a variety of sensors and signal conditioners for Aerospace, defense and flight test applications, including flutter test; measurement of load factor; structural dynamics; acoustics and turbulent flow; testing of control system input and response; engine/airframe and aircraft carrier qualification; and troubleshooting, as well as accelerometers for Health & Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS).
